Recruitment Notice - Seeking University Students with Autism for Social Interaction Research
I am Dr. Chen Chen, Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education at National Kaohsiung Normal University. Currently, I am conducting research on social interaction among university students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and am inviting your participation. Research Overview: The study involves interviews and aims to gain insights into the experiences and perspectives of university students with (mild) autism who have received services from college resource classrooms within the past three years. Your valuable participation will contribute to understanding the campus interactions with teachers and peers, providing valuable lessons for both autism and non-autism individuals on effective communication and interaction.
Purpose of the Research:
Explore the experiences and sentiments of university students with autism in campus and interpersonal interactions. Share your experiences to foster a positive social interaction environment for both individuals with autism and their peers. Interview Details: Format: Face-to-face, online, or written interviews. Frequency: At least two interviews with a total duration of at least two hours. Location and time: Determined by you, ensuring a quiet, recording-friendly environment. Support: You may invite family or friends to accompany you during the interviews for support. Confidentiality: All interview data will be kept confidential, and your identity will remain protected. Participant Incentives: A shopping voucher of NT$500 will be presented at the beginning of the first interview as a token of appreciation.
Withdrawal Option: You can withdraw from the study at any time without providing a reason, and the voucher is yours to keep.
